Fellow Geeks renew their interest in the Benoist tea Train Man drank out of the Hermes teacups. Some went hunting for the tea itself.

I asked a tea-lover friend of mine about Benoist tea but
he’s never had it either . . .
And apparently it is really difficult to get, not to mention expensive.
She didn’t seem like your average person from the fact she sent Hermes teacups but this really takes the biscuit.

Apparently you can buy and drink it at the Matsuzakaya Department store in Ginza. There’s also a salon in Kokoda.

I’d like to go with Lady Hermesalicious arrragh whhhattt rrruuuuu ddddd ←appears to be attacked by Train
All jokes aside, when I got there, there was a man straight out of one of the Jump mangas wearing silver-rimmed shades and sipping an iced tea. I ordered an iced Earl Grey and out came two rectangular biscuits with it. I left the biscuits untouched (for some reason) as I kept worrying about what the ladies-who-lunch and the Hermesalicious ones were thinking so I quickly drank one cup and headed to the till. I’m not sure if the tea was at the till . . . the cans were going for anywhere between £5 and £10 per 100g depending on the tea. They had other things for sale that looked like some kind of spread and something like a scone.

Curious Spring Affair?
Numerous Single Men Lose Consciousness at Department Store Tea Salon
<Matsuzakaya>
There have been numerous reports about single men visiting the Tea Salon in the Matsuzakaya Department Store in the Ginza district whom faint upon arrival, one after the next. There have been a total of 16 men reported to have fainted by early evening today but causes have been largely unknown. Then men whom fainted have no known connection to each other and the only unifying thread between them seems to be that they are all single. Amongst the unconscious were some who mouthed incoherent words as ‘Hermes’ ‘Train’ and ‘Dhalsim’ but all were transported to a mid-city hospital.
The Matsuzakaya spokesperson struggled to explain what had transpired.
‘They were certainly not the type of customer we are used to seeing in our store and we have no idea what happened or how to even comment on the incident.’ The random and wholly unexpected happenings that transpired one after the next in an otherwise peaceful environment gave customers pause for thought as they looked on with concern.

Seriously, she’s the one who started the hand-holding on the date, not to mention pulling him off the train and well. If the relationship has already reached this level, then whyohwhyohwhy can’t he tell her he likes her? If Lady Hermes is kind of a tough girl then her behaviour basically points towards her really being into Train, and if she’s not so tough a girl then we’ re talking about her getting a bit vulnerable if we attack.
But from what we know, she’s bound to be the first type, I mean, for god’s sake Miss Hermes, Miss flirtatious hand-holder who invites him to her house! If this is still a no-go then you better give up on the chicks if you know what I mean. (´A`)
303 Name: Anonymous Post Date: 20/04/04 22:51
I think you’ve got a point there . . .
As far as Train has told us, Lady Hermes is prettier than Miki Nakatani, well put together but not stuck up, feisty, stylish, a great conversationalist with a strong sense of justice which basically makes her a total superhuman being.
But if this amazing person really gets together with Train . . .
Do you think it’s ok to decide there is hope for Geeks?
315 Name: Anonymous Post Date: 20/04/04 22:56
No way dude.
Let’s take a look at reality.
I was on the train and gave my seat up to a woman who had some heavy bags.
After a while, the seat next to her was free so I sat down but then she deliberately shifted away from me, making a huge space between us.
Let me just say that after yesterday’s mirror story and this as a follow-up, guys, the end of the road is near. ( ´A` ) Benoist

I think the most exciting time is right before you actually tell her you like her.
Holding her hand and then having her squeeze right back or having her smile at you when your eyes meet, that’s all fine but you haven’t heard exactly how the other feels yet. When I think back, that time when you’ve got all these feelings growing inside, well that was when it was most fun. It doesn’t last long so I’d really like Train to enjoy it, right before they make it official.
Plus, if they start prancing around in their birthday suits, I’m not gonna be able to watch.

*Train, you guys are definitely cookin’. It’s confirmed. But make sure you don’t come clean over e-mail. Gotta tell her when you see her.
A switch from conjecture to conviction.

It is an honour to have experienced first hand the sneak attack . . .

hold up! does this mean it’s ending soon?
when and where are we to digest it all with friend-o-Hermes?
801 Name: Anonymous Post Date: 23/04/04 23:41
If Train:
‘I have to say that you’re hot enough for me’ --- basically coming clean in that Train would be telling Hermes that she has control over his love-o-meter.
If Hermes:
‘I have to say that you’re hot enough for me’ ---Hermes digs Train.
If these words came out of Hermes, then it’s a dead cert.

damn it, what’s up with all this cool and calmness?
is this, could this, straight up, is this really Train?
We have created a monsterrrrrrr!!!

damn right . . . he’s really grown up.
and it’s not like they met at a speed-dating party or anything.
it started with a techie helping some people out.
the Geek miracle . . . is that what it’s about?
No, not a miracle. It’s more like hard work producing results!
874 Name: Anonymous Post Date: 23/04/04 23:55
Probably the God of 125 is the Great God but in addition to not being a virgin he’s fashionable and pretty much a smooth talker which meant that he basically wasn’t a Geek to begin with. In other words, he was a trained mercenary.
But Train’s different. He’s a techie who was keen on voiceover actresses. which meant that he was indeed a Geek. But now, with confidence and composure, he goes on the attack.
This, my friends, is the stuff legends are made of. The man who became the legend of the single male board is no other than Train Man himself.
806 Name: Anonymous Post Date: 23/04/04 23:59
Aha. And here I was contemplating which porn video I was gonna rent at the video shop. Wondering whether I should stop choosing based on the actress and lean towards genre. Like role-playing. Cheerleaders. Nurses. Great, I’m feeling all worked up. Let me go keep myself busy.
. . . to think that while I sat around puffing up my imagination, a nice cherry-coloured cloud was being created here . . .
56 Name: Anonymous Post Date: 24/04/04 00:50
So if the god of figuring out the teacup brand and the god of pushing Train to call to thank her for the cups weren’t around . . . this miracle wouldn’t have happened . . .

Hey, you’ve forgotten one key player.
The drunken geezer.
I’ll give it to you, without the ones >>56 mentioned, there wouldn’t be a story here.
But in the end, what really made it all happen was Train Man’s courage.
If he’d just watched and pretended it wasn’t happening, then none of this would have happened.
Let’s drink to having this courageous soul amidst our kind! Cheers!
Japan’s not all that bad if you see it in this light.
Way to go, Train!

195 Name: Anonymous Post Date: 24/04/04 11:15
We’re heading into film and TV drama and novel territory here.
Mind you, I’ve had my share of imaginary scenarios roll around in my head like
a rental video shop that only I could see or
helping a beautiful kimono-clad lady fix her sandal strap at the station or
calling a weird office by mistake but
none of these scenarios lead to success stories, dude.

Even if I’m all alone and have nothing going on, if I can get all stoked and excited listening to my mates talk about their love life then you know what, I think it’s just fine.
I’ll be fine even if I continue to remain all by my lonesome.
Train Man, leaving those words behind, pretty much gave no sign of hesitation.
